Grand Canadian Academy (Jiaxing) BC High School is certified by the B.C. Ministry of Education, Canada , and is registered at the Education Bureau of Jiaxing Municipality, the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province , and the Ministry of Education of PRC.

  • Jiaxing GCA began operations in 2005 and now has 50 students in 2007-8.

  • Jiaxing GCA received certification by the B.C. Ministry of Education in 2005 and has been inspected and recertified every year by Ministry representatives.

  • Qualified GCA graduates are authorized to receive the official B.C. "Dogwood" high school diploma.

  • Located on the downtown campus of the prestigious Maodun High School . Students may also complete their Chinese high school courses delivered by Maodun High School teachers

Beneath the watchful gaze of Chinese Scholar Mao Dun at the entrance to the school. Jiaxing GCA lives at the heart of the sprawling Tongxiang Campus of Mao Dun High School. Jiaxing GCA lives at the heart of the sprawling Tongxiang Campus of Mao Dun High School.
A canal wanders through the grounds, which contains sports fields, a large gymnasium, a cafeteria and numerous classroom buildings to contain the approximately 3000 Chinese students who enrolled here.

The Science Department at Jiaxing GCA boasts individual labs for each of the Sciences. It also has a working Observatory and an Earth Science Mini Earthquake Museum.

Indoor-gym
Jiaxing GCA has an Indoor gym, complete with basketball courts, outdoor soccer field and tennis courts. The grass soccer field is surrounded by a multi-purpose running track.

200-seat auditorium is used for speech competitions and large gatherings.

School cafeteria provides students and teachers with their daily fare.
Small class sizes allow for supportive learning and interaction with students.
Teacher's desks are both spacious and functional.
IT labs run BC Provincial Exams online from this year.
