GCA offers a competitive contract including
(a) Base salary per annum to be paid in 12 monthly installments, with the first payment on September 30 of contract year.
(b) Five (5) paid sick or bereavement days per year, if needed. Arrangements must to be made with principal for coverage of classes prior to requesting this leave. Unused sick days will not be reimbursed.
(c) 25 instructional hours per week (for full-time employment). The Company will assign the Employee to teach subjects on the basis of the Employee's certification and qualification. Employees will also be expected to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school.
(d) Medical Plan: The Employee shall have the option of choosing to enroll in the Company's international medical plan (the ˇ°Medical Planˇ± ). The cost of the Medical Plan is equally shared (50%-50%) between the Company and the Employee.
(e) Work visa in China is paid for by the Company.
(f) RMB 3000 - 4000 Living Allowance per month for faculty.
(g) Return airfare between the work place in China and the Employee's hometown (based on economy class) will be provided/reimbursed by the Company.
(h) Baggage allowance of up to $100 CAD for overweight baggage per year.
(i) Paid vacation will coincide with Chinese national holidays. This usually consists of the Chinese New Year in January or February and the National Day in October.
