BENEFITS

Benefits to Students and Parents

  1. Save money and time since students can experience studying abroad in China. Normally, a student pays around RMB 200,000/per year in North America for his/her tuitions and overseas room and board, which means a sum of RMB 800,000 is required for a four-year study in North America especially when one extra year is needed for English proficiency improvement. However, a student in a BC offshore high school only needs to pay about RMB 200,000 for his/her total three-year study in China.

  2. Accomplish Cultural, language and educational adaptation while studying in China, thus will be fully prepared for school lives in North America. Experienced certified Canadian teachers are hired to deliver courses in English exclusively. Courses are all taught in line with the curriculum of BC MOE in an exclusive Canadian environment. Students at GCA (Jiaxing) accept the same type of education as that in B.C., Canada.

  3. Receive better attention in the classroom: GCA (Jiaxing) adopts the method of student-centered and competency-based instructing system and small classes with personal attention. Each class has less than 28 students.

  4. Students in a BC offshore high school are registered with and recognized by the BC Ministry of Education. Having acquired prescribed credits by passing the provincial examinations of BC high school, students are issued with offshore high school certificates by the BC MOE. Canadian high school certificates are recognized and respected worldwide.

  5. After graduation: generally, qualified graduates can directly apply for studying at universities in Canada, the USA, and other English-speaking countries without having to attend any foundational programs or take any admission assessment tests. The school will introduce information on universities to those students who intend to go to study in Canada. BC MOE participates in helping students acquire their study permits so that their study visas are more assured.

  6. Students with extremely good academic performance qualify for university scholarships.

  7. Students, after graduating from universities abroad, have opportunities to work overseas and immigrating to Canada.
